يركّز المؤلف على فكرة أساسية وهي أن الشعر العربي وُجد قبل وضع علم العروض، وأن العرب كانوا يعتمدون على السليقة الموسيقية والأذن اللغوية في تمييز الوزن الصحيح من المكسور، حتى جاء الخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي فوضع القواعد والبحور لتنظيم الأوزان الشعرية.
ينقسم الكتاب إلى محورين رئيسيين: 1. معنى كلمة العَروض يشرح المؤلف المعنى اللغوي والاصطلاحي لكلمة “العروض”، وكيف تطورت من دلالة لغوية عامة إلى علم مستقل. الخليل والعروض- يعرض المؤلف دور الخليل الفراهيدي في: اكتشاف البحور الشعرية. بناء الدوائر العروضية. |
